Fine Silver Flower Heart Pendant

Fine Silver Flower Heart Pendant
    Product Description

This pendant started as a drawing. I then used a lump of precious metal clay and formed it into a heart. After it dried I carved flowers in it because flowers seem to represent love, so I married them. Then I sand and polish and drill a whole for the bail. Now it is ready for the kiln. After it has cooled, it is back to polishing. I hope you like this symbol of love which could also be passed on as an heirloom at a later date.

Silversmithing is actually my second career. I was an Advanced Practice Nurse and loved every minute of it, but I always had a creative outlet. I've done many things, but nothing caught my heart strings until I found a class in silversmithing, and I haven't looked back since! It has carried me into retirement and is such a joy to me. My maternal grandparents came from the silver mines in Spain, and were also very creative in their own rights, so it only seems natural for me to be growing in this field. I am always taking classes and challenging myself to do and be more. Right now I can't seem to get enough of the precious metal clay world.
