The dominant species of willow known as “diamond willow” for decorative carving. A quick growing variety that adapts to many different wet soils. Willows are great for preventing soil erosion, wind breaks, snow catches, water filtration and wildlife habitat and food. Crepey like alternating leaves are lighter coloured on the underside and darker on top. Leaves are widest mid length, smooth edged or slightly serrated, and come to a point. New leaves are coated in fine downy hair. Like other willows, this one is dioecious, meaning there are male and female plants. From $5.50 for an oversize plug to $35.00 for a 2 gal pot. Volume discounts available.
